Art History
Painting is one of the master of fine arts. On the basis of the same sense, painting is a more complete development of the drawing. Art History we will try to review in a few posts, as follows:Prehistory
Historically, painting strongly associated with the image. Prehistoric relics show that since thousands of years ago, human ancestors had begun making drawings on cave walls to represent the important parts of their lives.
All cultures in the world know the art of painting. This is because the painting or drawing is very easy to make. A painting or drawing can be made only by using simple materials such as charcoal, chalk, or other materials. One well-known technique of drawing of prehistoric cave people do is to put a hand on the wall of the cave, then menyemburnya with chewed leaves or colored mineral stone.
The result is plagiarism colored hand-colored on the walls of caves that can still be seen today. This convenience allows the image (and subsequent painting) to grow faster than other branches of art such as sculpture and ceramic art.
As the picture, painting mostly built on top of a flat surface such as walls, floors, paper, or canvas. In modern art education in Indonesia, this trait also called bi-dimensions (two-dimensional, flat dimensions). Along with the development of civilization, human ancestors increasingly adept at creating shapes and put them in the picture, then automatically works they start forming a composition of form and narrative (story / stories) in his works.
Objects that appear frequently in ancient works are humans, animals, and natural objects such as trees, hills, mountains, rivers, and seas. The shape of the object to be drawn is not always identical to the original. This is called the image and it is influenced by an understanding of the painter of the object. For example, a picture of a bull's horns made with the proportion of unusually large compared to the size of the original horns. Imagery is influenced by an understanding of the painter who thinks the horn is the most impressive part of a bull. Therefore, the image of one kind of object to be different depending on cultural understanding in the region. Imagery is very important because it is also influenced by the imagination. In the development of painting, the imagination plays an important role today.
At first, the development of painting strongly associated with the development of human civilization. Language system, how to survive (scavenging, hunting and trapping, planting), and trust (the forerunner of religion) are the things that affect the development of painting. This influence is seen in the types of objects, imagery and narrative in it. In this period, the art of painting has special uses, such as recording media (in a way) to diulangkisahkan. Idle moments in prehistoric times one of them filled with drawing and painting. How to use images in communication with the end of growth since the establishment of the letter writing system actually comes from the symbols of the image which is then simplified and standardized.
At one point, there are certain people in a group of prehistoric people who spend more time drawing than for food. They began adept at making drawings and begin to find that the shape and structure of a particular form, when arranged in such a way, it would seem more interesting to see than usual. They began to find some kind of flavor of beauty in its activities and continue to do so so that they become more proficient. They were the first artists in the world and at that drawing and painting began leaning into art activities.
